On-Line Challenge Ride Registration will open soon!
Saturday, May 31st
The day will begin at 7:00am with the Armed Forces Cycling Classic’s Challenge Ride. The ride is a closed course open to cycling enthusiasts of all abilities, from casual amateurs to serious racers.
Bronze, silver, and gold medals will be awarded to those who can complete a designated number laps within the 3-hour course closure (additional laps will be required over previous years, due to the route adjustment to accommodate the current road construction). All riders must be off the course by 10 am.
Once we get the course cleared, and recognize the Armed Forces Challenge and Corporate Challenge top teams, we will start the weekends sanctioned racing with the Women’s Pro/AM race, as they begin their hunt for the weekend overall Omnium Prize (most consistent finisher over the two days).
Next up is the Kids Race, 9 and under. They will ride a lap on the course. The first day ends with the Men’s Pro/Am.
Sunday, June 1st in Clarendon
The 27th edition of the Armed Forces Cycling Classic’s Clarendon Cup has been the Washington DC region’s premier Pro/Am races since 1998. The famous 1km course will test the athlete’s skill and stamina, as it carries a reputation as one of the most difficult Pro/Am races in the U.S. due to the technical demands of the course and the quality of the participants.
The Clarendon Cup is where Champions come to compete!
The day begins with various amateur races, followed by the Women's Pro/Am race. The Kids Races takes place at 11:35 am. The day concludes with the Pro/AM Men's at approximately 12:05 pm.
The men’s pro race is 100 laps (100km) and we guarantee an exciting finish as they race to be crowned winner of this prestigious event. Omnium winners will be recognized following the Women’s and Men’s races.
